Coronavirus service changes

During the current 'lockdown' period bus services in South east Essex during the week are generally operating to Sunday frequency levels but with start and finish times more akin to normal Monday to Fridays to facilitate key workers in travelling to / from work.

Sunday service provision on recent Sundays has been reduced compared with a normal Sunday.

It is not proposed here to list all the changes in what is a fast changing situation and will likely change again as lockdown measures are lifted, partially lifted or reimposed over the coming months. It is possible that service changes may be made at short notice.

The SABUG facebook page has been updated regularly in recent weeks (and will continue to be so) as and when information on frequency changes is received.

Additionally, operator websites have been updated to provide full details of the revised frequencies with new timetables being issued online.

Service changes by Arriva and First due to take place on 29th March have been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak. The exception to this is the evening service on service 7 between Hockley and Rayleigh which passed from Arriva to Stephensons as planned (this was an Essex County Council contract change).

Weekday restrictions on the use of concessionary bus passes have been lifted.
