From Monday 12th April some changes to First services as follows:
Service X30 -additional jounreys introduced between Southend and Chelmsford daily to provide an approximate hourly service during the day.
Service 27 - Additional Mon - Fri evening journeys on service 27 and two additional morning journeys on service 27X will be added.
Service 28 - Minor revision to Monday to Friday timetable, with additional schoolday only journeys introduced.

From Mon 12th April Arriva services in South east Essex to return to pre covid freqencies on Mondays to Fridays, with the exception of service 6 which will continue to run every 30 mins.
From 8th March Stephensons service 24 reverted to Monday to Friday timetable on weekdays (a Saturday service had been in operation on weekdays since 11th January). So all Stephensons services in South East Essex now operating to normal timetables.
From 8th March, when schools reopened to all pupils, Arriva introduced addtiional journeys at school start and finish times, but daytime frequencies on Mondays to Fridays remain reduced as per 18th January.
From 8th March First Essex reintroduced normal Monday to Friday frequencies including reintroduction of a limited timetable on service 27X. Service X30 to operate every 2 hours with some enhancement in morning peak on school days.

Following the commencement of a third national 'lockdown' in early January bus services have been reduced slightly as follows:
From 11th January - Stephensons service 24 reduced to Saturday timetable - remains every 20 mins but with slightly later start and slightly earlier finish than Mon - Fri timetable.
From 18th January - Revised timetables - Arriva Southend reduced freqencies on Monday to Friday. Service 1 every 12 mins, service 9 every 15 mins,, services 6 and 29 every 30 mins. Service 7/8 combined frequency of every 15 mins.

From 25th January - Revised timetables - First Essex reduced frequencies on Monday to Friday on services 20, 22, 25, 27, 28 every 20 mins instead of every 15 mins. On Saturdays service 25 to operate every 20 mins instead of every 15 mins.

Arriva, First and Stephensons intend to continue to operate existing timetables in south east Essex during the 05/11 to 02/12 lockdown.
Previously unreported is that Arriva services 6 and 29 reverted to their full timetable (every 20 mins Mon - Sat daytime) from 1st September.

First Essex service changes from Tuesday 1st September 2020,
Service 20 Southend to Hullbridge, minor timetable changes on Monday to Friday, with school day variations reintroduced.
Service 21/21B Southend to Canvey Newlands, minor timetable changes on Monday to Friday.
Service 22 Basildon to Leigh Beck, minor timetable changes on Monday to Friday.
Service 25 Southend to Basildon Bus Station, minor timetable changes on Monday to Friday, with school variations reintroduced.
Service 26 Hadleigh to Southchurch, Saturday service increased to every 20 minutes.
Service 27/27A Southend to Canvey Leigh Beck, minor timetable changes on Monday to Friday, with school day variations reintroduced, Monday to Friday evening service increased to every 30 minutes.
Service 28 Southend to Basildon Bus Station, minor timetable changes on Monday to Friday, with school day variations reintroduced, additional school day only journeys will operate between Pitsea and Hadleigh.
Service X30 Southend to Stanstead Airport via Southend Airport and Chelmsford, additional Monday to Friday round trips at 05.45 & 17.45 from Chelmsford to Southend, returning at 06.50 & 19.00, some peak journeys will be re-timed and removed from Broomfield Hospital.
The following school day services are reintroduced, these services will only be available to school children aged 18 & under,
Service 625, 725, 820, 822, 825, & 827.

The 14.22 service 7 from Ashingdon School bus will be renumbered S7.
The 08.08 Southend to Westcliff Schools and 15.45 Westcliff Schools to Southend service 29 journeys will be renumbered S29.
Route numbers that begin with an S are reserved for school, sixth form and college pupils only,
If your journey has a new additional bus, two buses running together or bigger bus, social distancing and reduced capacity rules will apply, which clearly marked out onboard, if you are over 11you will will be required to wear a face covering on these services, exemptions apply, we have ensured there is plenty of capacity on these services.
The full service on Stephensons service 14 resumed from 1st September.
Concessionary pass restrictions will return to normal from 1st September thereby ending the temporary extension to the usage of these passes before 09.00am on Mondays to Fridays.

Arriva services changes from 05/07/20:
Service 1 Rayleigh – Shoeburyness - will revert to its near normal timetable. (Excluding some school journey - Timetable Mon – Friday every 10 mins Saturday every 12 mins and Sunday every 30 mins.
Service 4a Southend – Shoeburyness. Normal Sunday Service reintroduced.
Service 6 Southend – Temple Sutton. Timetable Monday – Saturday every 40 minutes. Sunday Every hour.
Service 7/8 Great Wakering – Rayleigh. Will revert to its near normal timetable. (Excluding some school journeys). Core timetable over central part of route Monday – Saturday every 15mins. Sunday Every 30 mins.
Service 9. Will revert to its normal timetable. Timetable Monday – Saturday Every 12 mins Sunday Every 30 mins.
Service 29. Southend – Belfairs. Timetable Monday – Saturday every 30 mins. Sunday Every 60 mins.
From 05/07/20 First are provided a daily service on X30 every 2 hours with most journeys continuting to serve Broomfield Hospital providing a direct link from South East Essex.
Increased Saturday service of every 20 minutes to be provided on First services 20, 22, 25, 27, 28 from Saturday 4th July.
As the lockdown in eased and more workplaces and retail locations reopen there have been improved frequencies on Monday to Fridays only compared with the level of service provided during the lockdown. First improved frequencies from 1st June and Arriva from 15th June. Stephensons provided enhanced timetables from 8th June. Full details via the operator links below or the SABUG facebook page. In most cases Saturday and Sunday services remain less frequent than they were pre-Covid.
The SABUG facebook page has been updated regularly in recent weeks (and will continue to be so) as and when information on frequency changes is received.
Additionally, operator websites have been updated to provide full details of the revised frequencies with new timetables being issued online.
